Foundation Training for adults with no formal qualifications
What is this project about?
The project consists of training courses specifically designed to target unemployed adults with no formal qualifications that would benefit from this specially designed Foundation Training Programme. The project provides adults with several areas of vocational training that match a trade or profession to which the candidate is best suited. The courses also include basic skills, entrepreneurship, self-employment, IT employability and self-development skills.
Who will benefit?
Unemployed, women, youth, people with disabilities, people over 40’s, semi-skilled/unskilled workers, single parents, people returning to the labour market.

€ 151,868
How is the project progressing?
The first five courses (four in Malta and one in Gozo) have come to an end.
158 students graduated in June 2006. At present there are 68 students undergoing training in the Caring for the Elderly course that has proved to be very popular since there is a great demand for qualified Carers.
