This project aims to fulfill Malta’s international obligations in the cultural heritage sector. The project will address areas which are seen as priorities for an integrated and sustainable management of the heritage assets situated within the project site. Keeping in mind the landscape value and context, the proposed project is to comprise:
The construction and furnishing of a visitors’ centre;
The construction/installation of accessibility and interpretation measures consisting of routes, tracks, interpretation facilities, connectivity and alternative transport systems;
Security measures consisting of the installation of high-tech surveillance systems aand the design of boundaries;
The design and construction of shelters for the temples and the conservation of the sites.

How is the project progressing?
All studies are complete. Preparations are underway for the remaining tenders to be launched.
