The tourism industry is the main pillar of the Gozitan economy thus the need for a more modern institute for tourism studies in Gozo. The new Gozo Institute of Tourism Studies in Qala (ITS Gozo) will offer a larger and integrated building incorporating increased areas for tuition and training facilities. The project aims to:
attract more Gozitans towards the tourism industry and upgrade the technical and practical skills of those already employed in the industry;
increase the courses in tourism-related services in Gozo;
improve the competitiveness of the tourism product in Gozo.
Who will benefit?
The more modern facility will give the Institute the possibility to offer more and better tuition than that currently offered in Gozo. The tourism industry as a whole will benefit from this project.
